About me

Elena Militello

I am a researcher and an activist, currently hovering between Sicily and the U.S. (next stop, New Jersey!).
I am excited to be currently working to launch (in December 2024) the first Foundation on the Sicilian diaspora, Fondazione Marea.
I was selected as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Center for European Studies for the 2022/2023 a.y. My postdoctoral research focuses on issues related to criminal justice while the not-for-profit association I founded in 2020, South Working, deals with public policy and territorial cohesion.
I am passionate about one too many fields, including linguistics, restorative justice, and sustainability.
